Guerlain Inaugurated “La Ruche”, New Production Facility

Guerlain inaugurated new Skincare and Makeup production site “La Ruche” in Chartres, France, in the presence of French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, the CEO of LVMH, Bernard Arnault, the CEO of Guerlain, Laurent Boillot, Guerlain’s Creative Director, Olivier Echaudemaison, and muse, Natalia Vodianova.
La Ruche is a flagship facility designed to facilitate industrial performance, innovation and quality through its application of the ISO8 pharmaceutical standards in cosmetics: 50 clean rooms with positive pressure, filtered air ventilation and laminar flow cabinets. In addition, the space obtained a High Environmental Quality certification to Excellent level as a result of its bioclimatic design, eco-management of the building, the arrangement of green spaces and protection of biodiversity.
facility, exclusively dedicated to skincare and make-up, incorporates state-of-the-art technology and once again demonstrates that LVMH Fragrance and Cosmetics production and research are firmly rooted in France. La Ruche employs 350 people.
