Taking inspiration from 19th century Spanish designer Mariano Fortuny as well as a crystalized gallery of ballerinas, Creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli knock down structures and cultural obstacles for a return to nature and bring romanticism and pure elegance to life. Barefoot with twisted snake head hairpieces, models floated down the runway like elegant nymphs wearing embroidered chiffon dresses with burnished gold thread and turquoise stones, green and gold brocade dresses with butterflies in flight and floral applications which took over 2.100 hours of handwork.
